Now, let's put the to work.  As the new year is coming up, it is the perfect time for people to start thinking about their New Year's resolutions.  What about you? Have you already started?

D. Modal Verbs: What would you tell them...

Please provide appropriate advice in the form of a short paragraph for the following use cases.  It's important that you use as many modal verbs as possible including should, can, must, need to, have to, could, etc.
  1. A coworker asking for advise after being reprimanded by her boss for being late all the time  
  2. Didier Deschamp after classifying for the 2014 World Cup
  3. A person planning to drive to Montpellier to do their Christmas shopping.
  4. Your children for not doing their chores around the house very often.
  5. Hollande to increase his popularity rating.
  6. Anyone asking you advise about where to go for lunch near the office.
  7. A person looking to improve his health.  Advice about diet, stress and exercise.
  8. A person thinking about pursuing a career in mechanical engineering.
  9. Your son/daughter on the best way to do well in school.
  10. Coworkers on how to improve the way they spend their time at work.
  11. A friend from Paris asking your advise on what to do in Montpellier and its surrounding area.

A. Wisdom

Is having wisdom important? Do you see yourself as a wise person? Did you have a wise person as a tutor in your life?  

Confucius once said that there were three ways to learn wisdom: "First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest." Gaining wisdom, the most prized of virtues across almost all cultures, is an exercise in life learning, careful analysis, and thoughtful action.

Thanksgiving is the perfect time to reflect upon one's year or even lifetime and give thanks for the things that one has or has experienced.
